Storage Providers
Files are stored in your configured storage provider:
| Provider | Description |
|---|---|
| Clarento Cloud (default) | 50 GB included, no setup required. Powered by Cloudflare R2. |
| Google Cloud Storage | Bring your own GCS bucket with S3-compatible HMAC keys. |
| AWS S3 + DynamoDB | Store files in S3 and metadata in DynamoDB. |
| Azure Blob + Cosmos DB | Store files in Azure Blob Storage and metadata in Cosmos DB. |
You can configure storage providers in Settings → Storage. Each provider's configuration is saved independently — switching providers only affects new uploads. Existing assets stay where they were uploaded.
AI Auto-Tagging
Clarento uses AI (Claude Haiku) to automatically:
- Generate descriptive tags based on image and video content
- Extract text from documents (OCR)
- Create a natural-language description of the asset
Auto-generated tags appear alongside your manual tags and are searchable. Trigger AI analysis from the asset lightbox.
